一 在遠山聳立著
古老的十字架，
作為羞辱、痛苦標誌；
我愛這十字架，
因主離榮耀家，
來在上面替人受死。

一直到我俯伏主腳前；
我堅持古老的十字架，
等有天，我將它換冠冕。
二 古老的十字架，
不少人很輕視，
對我卻有奇妙吸力；
神聖潔的羔羊，
曾降臨到此世，
將它背至髑髏死地。
三 古老的十字架，
染斑斑的血迹，
從我眼光何等可悅；
就在這十字架，
主受苦到至極，
為要賜我赦免、聖潔。
四 我永遠要效忠
古老的十字架，
歡喜受它所受譏誚；
有一天主召我
歸回到祂的家，
永遠享受祂的榮耀。
